Today the craft lives on in the hands of the last certified team producing the authentic Cobertor de Papa, a textile tradition shaped by the highlands and by the people who lived in them. The fabric's density, resilience, and texture come straight from the conditions that demanded it: altitude, cold, exposure, and daily use. Its character cannot be separated from the landscape and culture that formed it.
